Our interview with Phil the owner of Nomad Sauna

Who started the business?

Philip Grazulis started the business with an idea in 2019 and fully launched in 2020

What does your business specialize in?
We specialize in premium saunas of all types, Specifically barrels and high end traditional style saunas. We deliver all throughout the US
Why did you start the business?
I went through a personal health journey that reincorporated sauna and cold therapy back into my life.  Knowing how beneficial and passionate I am about these, I decided to create a business surrounding the concept.

What makes you different from the competitors?
We use the highest quality of materials when building our saunas. From the stupid thick 1/2″ tempered glass full window to the western red cedar and mobile drop down trailers.
What made you choose your company's location?
We chose to stay close to my heart in Minneapolis because I know how passionate we are around saunas and cold therapy. From the folks who pushed the city to permit a hole in lake harriet for ice dipping to the sauna enthusiasts who are spread all throughout. We knew this was home
What are your company's goals?
My goal is to create community. Whether it’s from a membership based sauna and cold therapy community to selling our premium saunas. We want it to bring community.
How did you come up with the name for your company?

After backpacking in several places around the world I’ve struggled to really put roots down anywhere. Creating the traveling sauna and already living a nomadic life, I found Nomad Sauna to be quite fitting.

How would you describe your company's workplace culture?
Workplace culture is work hard and play hard. We always end our workdays with a blazing hot sauna and cold dip.  Everyone has to partake. Non negotiable.
How would you describe your company's workplace culture?

I am hoping we are able to launch our membership platform where public saunas and cold therapy can be enjoyed throughout and bringing the community together.
